Junior handling is a special competition held on a dog shows usually as a
first discipline in BIS ring. In this competition the beauty of dogs is
not important because he is not the one who will be judged. It is a sport
that promotes connection and relationship between handlers and the dogs.
Everything is judged: The harmony between the dog and the junior, correct
presentation, knowledge about standard, stand, movement, presentation of
dog's teeth... The dress is also important. Handlers are judged separately
but also in group.
There are also golden rules and figures like – T, L, 8 witch excellent
handler needs to know.
It's excellent sport in witch you can make friend from all around the
world and promote handling, dogs and shows.
Unfortunately, in Croatia, we still don't have JH club so it's pretty hard
to learn and make knowledge how to compete in this discipline.
